Claremont is a spacious ADU brimming with character and thoughtful design. The kitchen, one of the largest in our collection, boasts a U-shaped layout that maximizes efficiency and storage. We incorporated ample cabinet space along the northern wall, ensuring plenty of room for organization. A built-in wall cabinet in the living room serves as both a bookcase and a functional pull-out desk, adding versatility to the space. The bedroom features a generous attic area above, accessible by pull-down stairs. This is an ideal solution for those with a lot of belongings to store. The pitched roof design allows for this added attic space, making it a great option in bedrooms and bathrooms where high ceilings aren't necessary. This was such a fun project! While the interior design and finishes are quite simple, the client wanted to keep the space light and airy, and they did an amazing job adding pops of color throughout. In the kitchen, we created a large cabinet storage area that serves multiple purposes—storing kitchenware, books, and other items. A small display area was added to feature books, adding a personal touch to the living room. In the living room, the closet transforms into a desk and workstation, perfect for when working from home. The hallway leading to the bedroom features a spacious walk-in closet that doubles as both a storage area and a passageway. The attic space is a fantastic addition, offering a great place to store larger items that aren’t used often. I love using these areas, tucked under the pitched roof, where high ceilings aren’t needed—such as in the bedroom or bathroom—to maximize storage without cluttering the main living spaces.
