Our panel kit consists of pre-built panels manufactured off-site and delivered directly to your yard, ready for assembly by your contractor or as a DIY project. Learn about the process of getting a panelized ADU to your yard and see if it’s the right fit for you!
A member of our team connects with the client for an initial meeting to better understand the needs of the family and help clients decide on what options will work best considering site, budget and program needs. Some of the topics discussed include:
How are you going to use your ADU?
What is your budget?
How much support would you like with the process?
What are your concerns about adding the ADU?
During our site analysis, we carefully evaluate and assess its unique characteristics, such as topography and environmental factors, to ensure that the final product fits within the site's specific needs and constraints.
Things that will be analyzed during the site visit are:
Slopes - Sewer - Trees - Electrical panels - Fire hydrant - Sprinklers
After an initial site analysis, our team walks the client through the floorplan options available and the customization items. In helping them select the right product, the team discusses the six different panelized kit options and the potential addition of an interior bundle that includes finishes, plumbing, lighting and appliances.
Choose one of our eight floor plan offerings to fit your needs:
Vine - Grant - Peralta - Millie OneOneL - Napa - Millie TwoTwo L - Bancroft - Antonio.
Add an interior bundle that fits your ADU needs. Interior packages include:
Plumbing - Appliances - Lighting - Finishes - Cabinets - Counters - Tile - Flooring.
Upon picking a kit, the team discusses the four different building methods offered, depending on how much involvement the client wants to be with the process. At this stage, you have handpicked your design and we have customized it for you. Your ADU is ready to be priced!

The contract has been signed and deposit made, our team puts together a permit set to submit to the city and get approval to begin construction.
Some additional factors might impact the design and drive the cost of the ADU much higher than the estimate and those include but are not limited to the items below:
Solar panels - Electrical panel upgrade - Sewer lateral upgrade - Water main upgrade - Fire sprinklers - Septic system.
After getting all the upgrades, our team can start preparing the permit set to submit to the city to get approval to begin building.
