Meet Amy Guiang, a seasoned designer with over 37 years of experience in designing and managing custom single-family and multi-family residential projects. Before joining Inspired ADUs, Amy founded and led her own design firm, Studio ARG, where she provided expert design services. Amy’s design philosophy is deeply influenced by her work with JSW/D Architects in Berkeley, California, where the principals co-authored the influential book "A Pattern Language." This book emphasizes the idea that people should design their own homes, streets, and communities, offering solutions to design challenges on various scales. Amy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley, and has built her career in architecture firms across the San Francisco Bay Area, focusing on residential, commercial, and institutional projects.
Outside of her professional life, Amy is an avid musician, playing bluegrass and old-time fiddle with her band and music community. She also cherishes family time with her husband and their busy, 20-something children. When she’s not making music or enjoying time with family, Amy loves to hike, backpack, and play pickleball.
