BIO

Meet Carrie, principal at both Inspired ADUs & Larson Shores architects. She holds a Bachelors in design from the University of Florida and an M.Arch in architecture from UC Berkeley. She launched her architecture firm 20 years ago with the design of her Dad's retirement house. She is a registered architect in California, LEED-AP, and Certified Age-in-Place Specialist. Carrie teaches the ADU Specialist Training for Northern California. Carrie's love of architecture may have started with building forts with her brother in their living room. Her design style was influenced by the modern architecture movement where she grew up, known as the Sarasota School of Architecture.

Carrie became interested in ADUs as a way to provide accessible housing after her issue with a temporary physical limitation. As a young architect, she felt that our spaces could better support us physically and mentally as we have changing needs. Carrie enjoys hiking with her family and dogs, cooking, gardening, and traveling outside the office!
